Dawn is a local farmer’s daughter born and bred in Cefn. She has been involved with horses from an early age. She had her first pony at the age of four and progressed through the Flint and Denbigh Pony Club and has been a member of the Hunt through her life. In 1984 Dawn moved from her parents farm in Cefn to live in St Asaph where she worked as a secretary at a local company.
In 2002 Dawn moved back to Cefn and now lives on a 10 acre small holding, the centre of Flint and Denbigh Country.
After moving back to Cefn, Dawn saw an opportunity to start her own business, washing and repairing horse rugs.
She invested in some suitable large machines and started a part time business. The business rapidly expanded and in 2008 she left her job as a secretary and now works full time at home running her own business. Since then she has attended a number of leather repair and saddlery courses at Cumbria School of Saddlery in Penrith which has allowed the business to further expand providing services for the repair of saddles, tack and other leather goods. Dawn also provides novel leather gifts designed around Stirrups and Horseshoes.
- Dawn’s business now provides a quick turn around one stop shop for those with any Equestrian related repairs.
- New stables have also been added which now allows the business to offer Part Time Livery.
